Siding Installation

When siding is past the point of patching, replacing it is the better investment. We install new siding on homes and commercial buildings, including fiber cement products such as James Hardie.

Fiber cement siding is made from cement, sand, and cellulose fiber. That mix is why it holds up the way it does: it will not rot, it does not feed termites, it will not burn, and it stands up to hail, wind, and hard Georgia sun far better than wood or vinyl. It also holds paint much longer, so repaint cycles stretch out instead of coming back every few years.

It comes in lap siding, vertical panels, shingle-look siding, and matching trim and soffit boards, with smooth or wood-grain textures. That means we can replace failing siding and still match the look of the house — or change the look completely if you want something different.

The installation is where it either lasts or fails. We remove the old siding, inspect and repair the sheathing and framing underneath, then install house wrap and flashing so water has a path back out. Planks go on with the correct fastening, spacing, and clearances, and we leave the proper gaps at trim, windows, doors, and roof lines instead of jamming boards tight.

Cutting fiber cement creates silica dust, so we cut with the right blades and dust control to keep the site and the crew safe. Seams and penetrations are flashed and caulked with a flexible exterior sealant, not filled with whatever is on the truck.

Because we are painters first, the finish is not an afterthought. Cut edges are sealed and primed, and the new siding is painted with a proper exterior system, so you get one crew responsible for the whole exterior instead of a siding installer and a painter blaming each other.
